Training Packages

All Training is delivered by our principal trainer who has extensive experience within Heath and social care, is a registered nurse with the NMC, member of the National Back Exchange, Royal College of Nursing and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Buccal Midazolam Educators

We are a QUALSAFE approved Training Centre which provides a number of OFQUAL regulated First Aid and Health and Social Care qualifications.

Epilepsy Awareness

What buccal midazolam is and how it works

When buccal midazolam is used in epilepsy

Practical Demonstration and description of the correct procedure

For the safe and effective administration of the medication

Recognition of potential difficulties

Seizure management plans and recording. 


Learners have the option to complete the Epilepsy and Midazolam Competency Framework, as published by Epilepsy Specialist Nurses Association. 


CQC Inspection Readiness

Are you and your team ready and confident to be inspected?

This session identifies how to be well prepared for inspection - how to present evidence and link this to CQC quality statements.

How to involve the whole team to understand their role in the inspection process.

Know the importance of IPC and how to reduce the risk of infection

Identify and demonstrate personal qualities

Leadership skills and collaborative working practices

Managing and improving services

Creating the vision and embedding this into practice

How to get the best out of your team

Positive workplace culture - how to promote and achieve this


Medication Administration - Level 2 OFQUAL REGULATED

This is delivered by a registered nurse and available as an awareness / refresher session or Level 2 Accredited session.

Anaphylaxis and EpiPen training is also covered within this session.

Understand roles and responsibilities in the safe use of medication including legislation and guidance.

Know how to safely prepare, store and dispose of medication

Understand the benefits and risks of taking / not taking medication

Know how to complete documentation accurately

Moving and Handling - Theory and Practical - Level2 OFQUAL REGULATED

Understand the general principles and legislation associated with moving and handling

How to manage emergency situations

How to prevent and manage falls

Understand how to complete a moving and handling comprehensive risk assessment and care plan  

Practical application of techniques using hoists, stand aids, small handling aids and slidesheets

Nutrition and Hydration

Understanding the principles of Good nutrition and hydration

Understand the effects of poor nutrition and hydration and how to spot the signs using MUST

Practical application of support within health and social care settings
